GLANNA MERINO SERVICES is the formalisation of our sheep classing and consultancy services. We aim to operate this as a separate entity with its own separate billing procedure.

Glanna Merino Services provides services in a range of area's, including:

* Sheep classing and classing consultancy* Ewe grading for mating* Assistance in ram selection* Overall breeding direction, advice and assistance in relation to clients enviroment and aims.* Wool classing advice* Breeding and/or woolclassing workshops* General sheep management consultancyAdvice coming from a personal background of 37 years of using individual sire matings and property management.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

* Glanna wethers coming 1st for 4 years running in the Australian National Field Days Wether Trial at Orange NSW from 1993 to 1996. Those wethers came from the flcok of sheep classed by Ron Rayner since 1963.* High demand and often premium prices have been paid for Glanna Blood sheep in both NSW and Victoria bought about by productivity, wool quality and consistant sheep type where Ron has classed for some time. Flock ewes have sold to $81 at 5 1/2 years of age from clients flocks.* The demand from clients has continually increased for classing and consultancy services from all area's that Glanna rams are sold. This demand has spread to include stud classing and consultancy for several studs. AIMS:* To achieve through co-operation with all parties continual improvement in clients flocks while keeping the costs associated for clients to a minimum.* To achieve a consistancy of wool quality, through breeding and wool classing, within the range available at Glanna, which will have advantages in future wool marketing.* To continue to provide educational services to clients and the industry.
